Tips and Tricks
Surface Mount Components:Firstly with SMD's they are small but that is no need to worry, firstly they are small but that doesn't meen awkward. My tips are firstly use a low wattage soldering iron (I have a 15w) with a wedge tip. First put the SMD on the board where its supposed to go, tin your iron then apply slightly more solder than you need. Then use a cocktail stick to hold the SMD in place, then brush the iron across the side of the SMD where you wish to make the connection (Using the angle on the iron) After a little practice I found I was able to do dozens without having to remove or reposition any.
